Hamsa Hands of Western North Carolina
Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
Founding Mother of Hamsa Hands Family Practice
Carlie Love is a licensed massage and bodywork therapist and a certified educator of infant massage with over 20+ years of clinical experience serving individuals and families across Western North Carolina.
As the founding mother of Hamsa Hands Family Practice, Carlie built her work on one guiding principle:
Therapeutic touch should be both clinically grounded and deeply human.
Her extensive education spans a wide range of therapeutic modalities, allowing her to provide highly individualized, outcome-oriented care.
Carlie’s training includes:
🌿 Thai Bodywork
🌿 Deep Tissue Therapy
🌿 Lymphatic Massage
🌿 Swedish Massage
🌿 Hawaiian Lomi Lomi
🌿 Aromatherapy
🌿 Craniosacral Therapy
🌿 Infant Massage Instruction
🌿 And So Much More!
This breadth of study enables her to adapt each session to the unique needs of the client — whether addressing chronic pain, postural strain, nervous system dysregulation, postpartum recovery, or general wellness maintenance.
Clinical Precision Meets Intuitive Care
Carlie’s strong anatomical foundation allows her to assess muscular patterns, tension holding, and compensatory strain with clarity and precision.
At the same time, her decades of hands-on experience have cultivated a refined intuitive awareness — allowing her to work responsively, safely, and effectively within each client’s comfort level. Each session is structured, intentional, and tailored.
Clients often seek Carlie’s work for:
🌿 Chronic pain relief
🌿 Stress related tension patterns
🌿 Caregiver fatigue
🌿 Nervous system regulation
🌿 Postpartum recovery support
🌿 Restorative wellness care
The Vision Behind Hamsa Hands
Over time, Carlie recognized that families often receive medical attention — but lack ongoing supportive care during transitional seasons.
From postpartum recovery to infant development to elder care, she envisioned a practice that would serve families across the lifespan.
Hamsa Hands Family Practice was born from that vision.
Today, her daughter serves families as a certified postpartum doula, and another daughter will soon join as an additional licensed massage therapist — expanding the family-centered model of care.
This is not simply a business, it is a legacy of service.
