"How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you." Rupi Kaur

A Practice for Self-Love & Inner Brilliance

There are moments when a new beginning doesn't arrive because life has changed.

It arrives because the relationship you have with yourself begins to change.

Not all at once.

Not through striving.

But through the quiet realization that the way you speak to yourself shapes every relationship, every choice, and every possibility that follows.

This is one of those moments.

A chance to remember that the longest relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself.

It shapes the way you receive love, the way you meet disappointment, the way you celebrate joy, and the way you imagine what is possible for your life.

When that relationship is rooted in kindness, something extraordinary begins to happen.

Freedom no longer feels like something waiting for you somewhere in the future.

It begins to grow quietly within you.

An invitation to soften the voice of self-judgment, to become curious instead of critical, and to remember that the love you offer yourself becomes the foundation for everything you create in the world.

When you begin to trust your own heart, old stories begin to loosen. New possibilities quietly appear. And the path ahead no longer feels like something you must force—it becomes something you are finally free to choose.

This practice is here to gently remind you that the love you cultivate within yourself becomes the light that illuminates every path ahead.

PADMA MUDRA

Gesture of Unconditional Love

A gentle hand gesture supporting compassion, emotional openness, and the quiet remembrance that love begins within. Like a lotus rising from still waters, it invites the heart to open without needing to be perfect.

HOW TO PRACTICE:

Sit comfortably with your spine gently upright.

Bring your palms together in front of your heart.

Keep the heels of your hands, the tips of your thumbs, and the tips of your little fingers touching.

Allow the remaining fingers to blossom open like the petals of a flower.

Close your eyes softly and breathe naturally for 5–15 minutes.

Alternate Mudra Suggestion: Tejas Mudra (Gesture of Inner Brilliance)

🔊 Mantra | YAM

A simple sound supporting unconditional love, compassion, and the gentle remembrance that the relationship you have with yourself shapes every relationship that follows.

Pronunciation: YUM (a soft, steady sound on the exhale)

A bija (seed) sound traditionally associated with the heart center. It is used in practices that cultivate love, compassion, forgiveness, and emotional openness—beginning first with yourself.

Rhythm & Practice:

Sit in your chosen mudra and begin with three slow breaths.

On each exhale, softly repeat Yam (Yum).

Allow the sound to be gentle, steady, and unforced.

Continue for 5–10 minutes.

Then sit quietly for a moment and simply receive.

A gentle note: Every loving thought you cultivate within yourself becomes the foundation for every loving relationship you create with the world.

Essence:I open my heart with compassion. I honor my worth. I allow love to guide my path.

🌿 A SIMPLE RITUAL

Find a quiet place to sit.

Choose the mudra that speaks most deeply to you today.

Take three slow breaths to arrive.

Then, softly, ask yourself:

Where could I offer myself a little more kindness today?

What old story about myself am I ready to release?

If I truly trusted my own worth, what new possibility would I allow myself to embrace?

You don't need to answer all three at once.

One question is enough.

Sit with it the way you would sit beside someone you deeply love—with patience, compassion, and without needing to fix anything.

When you feel ready, close with several gentle repetitions of Yam, allowing the sound to settle softly into your breath.

Place one hand over your heart and quietly say:

May I meet myself today with the same love I so freely offer others.

Then rest in the quiet for a moment before returning to your day.
