"A grateful mindset can set you free from the prison of disempowerment and the shackles of misery." ~ Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience
A Practice for Abundance, Worthiness & Generosity
Abundance is often measured by what we have: the resources we gather, the opportunities we receive, the security we build. But abundance can also be found in the way we recognize what is already present, allow ourselves to receive support, and share what we have without losing ourselves in the giving.
Sometimes, the invitation is not to do more or become more. It is to recognize our own worth, make room for possibility, and consider what it means to live with an open heart and a grounded sense of enough.
This is one of those moments when we can pause, turn inward, and ask ourselves:
Am I allowing myself to receive as freely as I give?
Through a simple hand gesture, a few intentional breaths, and a moment of honest reflection, we can explore our relationship with abundance, not as something we must chase, but as something we can meet with awareness, gratitude, and care.
Kubera Mudra
Gesture of Intention & Abundance
Kubera Mudra brings the tips of the thumb, index finger, and middle finger together while the ring finger and little finger curl gently toward the palm. The gesture is traditionally associated with intention and abundance.
For this practice, we will use it as a physical reminder to gather our attention, recognize what matters, and direct our energy toward what we wish to cultivate.
How to Practice
Find a comfortable seated position. Allow your shoulders to relax and your spine to lengthen naturally.
On each hand, bring the tips of the thumb, index finger, and middle finger together.
Let the ring finger and little finger curl gently toward the palm. Do not force them into position.
Rest your hands comfortably on your thighs or in your lap.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable, and take several slow, natural breaths.
Bring to mind an intention that feels meaningful to you. It might involve greater stability, a new opportunity, a healthier relationship with money, or the courage to recognize your own worth.
You do not need to force a particular feeling or outcome. Simply allow the gesture to become a moment of focused attention.
Remember: There is no need to force the position or the breath. Keep the hands soft and choose whatever feels comfortable for your body. If closing your eyes feels uncomfortable, simply keep them open with a soft gaze.
Supportive Qualities
Intention - Bringing attention to what you wish to cultivate.
Self-Worth - Recognizing that your value extends beyond material success or the approval of others.
Receptivity - Allowing yourself to receive help, care, opportunity, and kindness.
Discernment - Choosing where your resources, attention, and energy are best placed.
Generosity - Sharing from a place of genuine care rather than obligation or depletion.
A Gentle Note
Abundance does not mean having everything we want. It can mean recognizing what sustains us, welcoming what supports our well-being, and making thoughtful choices about what we have to offer.
We can be grateful for what is here while remaining open to what may come.
We can receive without guilt.
We can give without abandoning ourselves.
We can desire change without dismissing the good already present.
We can honor our worth without measuring it by what we own, earn, or accomplish.
CAUTION
There is no particular posture or flexibility required for this practice. If you experience pain, numbness, tingling, or strain, gently release the gesture and allow your hands to rest in your lap or another mudra that feels more aligned and comfortable for you.
π Mantra | I Receive with Gratitude | I Give with Grace
For this practice, we will use a simple affirmation as a mantra. These are reflective words created for this practice, rather than a traditional Sanskrit mantra. You do not need to believe anything in particular or feel completely confident in the words. Allow them to meet you where you are.
Repeat for several rounds of comfortable breathing. Practice regularly over the next two weeks, even if only in your mind.
Rhythm & Practice
As you continue, consider whether receiving feels as natural to you as giving. Notice any guilt, hesitation, fear, or relief that arises without judging yourself for it.
You might gently ask:
What would it mean to believe that I am worthy of support? How can I show myself all the ways in which I am already fully supported?
Let the question remain open. You do not need to find an answer today.
Then place your hand over your heart and say:
βMay I meet myself today with the same love I so freely offer others.β
Then rest in the quiet for a moment before returning to your day.
Choose One Action
Let your reflection become something tangible such as:
Accepting Offers of Help
Expressing Gratitude
Setting Healthy Boundaries
Making Thoughtful Financial Choices
Giving from the Heart without Expecting anything in Return
πΏ Essential Oils for Reflection & Rootedness

Choose one oil or create a gentle blend that resonates with you. As you breathe in its aroma, take a moment to consider what abundance means to youβand how you might welcome more of it into your life.

Essential Oil Safety & Contraindications
Skin application: Essential oils are concentrated substances. Do not apply them undiluted to the skin; use an appropriate dilution in a suitable carrier oil and follow the product's safety guidance. Do not ingest essential oils.
Inhalation and diffusion: Begin with a small amount, ensure adequate ventilation, and avoid prolonged or continuous diffusion. Stop if you experience headache, coughing, breathing irritation, nausea, or other discomfort. People with asthma, fragrance sensitivity, or respiratory conditions may prefer to avoid inhalation.
Allergies and sensitivities: Avoid oils that cause or may trigger an allergic reaction, skin irritation, or other symptoms. Older or oxidized citrus oils may increase the risk of skin sensitization.
Pregnancy, children, and pets: Safety depends on the particular oil, concentration, exposure, age, and circumstances. Seek appropriate professional guidance before using essential oils around infants, young children, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or around pets. Do not assume an oil safe for an adult is safe for a child or animal.
Sun exposure: Sweet Orange essential oil generally has a low phototoxicity risk, but risk can vary with extraction method and product. Distilled citrus oils and expressed oils do not necessarily have the same phototoxicity profile. Check the manufacturer's guidance before applying any citrus oil to skin that will be exposed to sunlight.
*If you are unsure whether an oil is appropriate for you, leave it out. The practice is complete without aromatherapy.

A Note for Those with Allergies
If you have a nut allergy or any other plant, flower, herb, or essential oil allergy, you can still connect with the symbolic qualities associated with a plant without physically using or being exposed to it.
You do not need to ingest it, apply it to your skin, diffuse its aroma, or handle the plant to explore what it represents.
Instead, take a moment to imagine the plant, its color, its shape, or the environment in which it grows. Reflect on the qualities associated with it and consider how those qualities might relate to your own experience.
You can explore these qualities through:
Visualization β imagine the plant or its natural surroundings.
Reflection β consider the qualities it represents, such as grounding, courage, compassion, protection, or renewal.
Words & Intention β choose a word, affirmation, or personal intention that expresses the quality you wish to cultivate.
Quiet Breathing β sit comfortably, breathe naturally, and allow yourself a few moments of stillness.
Ask yourself:
What quality am I drawn to cultivate?
How might I bring that quality into my daily life?
What simple action would help me embody it?
You do not need the physical plant or product to engage with its symbolic meaning. Sometimes an image, a word, a memory, or a quiet intention is enough to bring a meaningful quality into awareness. The practice is the attention you bring, not the product you use.
If you have a known allergy, avoid exposure to the relevant allergen, check product ingredients carefully, and follow the guidance of your healthcare professional. Visualization and reflection offer ways to explore symbolic meaning without physical exposure. This document is intended for informational and educational purposes. Flower remedies & essential oils should be used as complementary wellness practices, not as replacements for professional medical or mental health care. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new health regimen, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or managing a chronic health condition.
The Abundance We Cultivate
May we learn to recognize abundance not only in what arrives, but in what sustains us.
May we receive without shame, give without depletion, and honor the quiet worth that does not depend on achievement or approval.
May we have the courage to welcome new possibilities while caring wisely for what is already in our hands.
And may our understanding of abundance grow spacious enough to include gratitude, generosity, rest, and the freedom to choose what truly matters.
